It seems like I get constipated a lot. Is there anything I can do?

Take two Digestive enzymes with every meal and increase your water consumption. This will help relieve constipation. It can also help with loose stools. Adding Probiotics into your nightly regimen will also aid in the relief of constipation.

I just found out I’m pregnant. Are there any specific supplements I should take that would benefit both me and the baby?

The foundational nutrients, Digestive, Vitamin/Mineral, EFA and in most cases, Stress Support will be the most useful and complete. You can also take Iron, Calcium and Vitamin-C.

I feel like I am coming down with a cold or virus. Is there anything I can take to prevent or help get rid of it quicker?

Take 15 drops of Perfect pH mixed with 2-3 oz of water and take it 3 – 4 times a day. Also include 2 Immune Support in the morning and evening to help move the infection through quicker. If the infection is in the intestinal area, you need to make sure and take Probiotics 2 in the morning and 2 at night without food. You can take the Perfect pH and Immune with the Probiotics.

I’m a smoker. What special needs does my body have?

Obviously, the number one recommendation is that you quit smoking, the sooner the better. Smoking produces free radicals throughout your body. Taking an Antioxidant is vital. Stress Support and Calcium will also be needed.

I have allergies that come with the season. Is there anything I can take to help them?

Digestive enzymes and Stress Support have shown good results in reducing allergy symptoms. Also, taking Proteolytic Plus can help move mucus through your nasal cavities. Make sure to take these on an empty stomach (15 minutes before you eat or at least an hour and 30 minutes after you eat).

I take a multivitamin that I found at the grocery store, isn’t that enough?

Typically, multivitamins provide only synthetically derived organic nutrients, or only part of an entire vitamin (see http://www.parkerhealthsolutions.com/vitamin_difference.asp) A multivitamin has only a very few components to help a human body, but it will not necessarily build health. I do not recommend a “one-a-day” synthetic vitamin. Make sure your multivitamin is a whole-food vitamin.

My stools seem awfully loose. Could I take something to help them?

The first step is to make sure the intestinal flora is balanced. Start by taking Probiotics, 2 in the morning and 2 bed time with food. Then to maintain health you may want to consider Digestive with your meals.

Ugh! My heartburn is so painful. What can I do to get rid of it or at least help it?

You can make better food choices by eating more healthful, whole foods and also take Digestive enzymes. Both of these steps will go a long way to combating heartburn. It may take a little time, but being consistent is the key.

I crave sugar. What can I do?

You can take Digestive, EFA and Stress Support. These provide support for the adrenal glands and help in digestion and hormone production, both of which can initiate a sugar craving. If this doesn’t seem to help, it may be more of an intestinal imbalance. Yeast or bacteria, or even parasite overgrowth may be present. Take Probiotics and Intestinal Support morning and night.

I always feel so bloated after I eat. What causes that and what can I do?

Digestive enzymes with meals will help with bloating. Also taking Probiotics on an empty stomach will help repair the lining of the gut. Its irritation can cause the bloating after eating.

I bent over and felt a sharp pain in my back, what should I do?

If the pain goes away very quickly and you can move it, though it feels tight, be very careful. You have irritated the connective tissue and you need to stop all physical activity for the next 24-48 hours. If the pain is consistent and it is painful to move, then ice it quickly. Get off your feet and find the most pain-free position you can. Start taking Proteolytic Plus, 3 capsules 3 times a day on an empty stomach for pain and inflammation. When you are able to move around better, you may want to get a chiropractor to treat the injured area

I woke up this morning and I can’t move my neck, what should I do?

This usually means you slept with your head in an awkward position and have irritated some nerves in your neck. If it is a mild reaction (which means you can still turn your head, it just hurts), then use moist heat with light massage. This may clear it up in a day or two. If it still feels tight, then make an appointment with your chiropractor to get your neck adjusted. If the reaction is severe (can’t move at all without pain), you need to rest and take pressure off your neck. Support it the best you can. Do ice/heat contrast treatment. 15 minutes of ice, then heat for 15 minutes and rest for 30. Repeat this process two times. You can take Proteolytic Plus, 3 capsules 3 times a day on an empty stomach to help with inflammation and speed up your recovery. As soon as you can move your neck on your own again, get in with your chiropractor for treatment.

I had an injury to my knee (ankle, elbow, etc), and now my joint is hurting and swollen, what should I do?

Depending on the type of injury, you need to make sure there is no bone involvement. Get an x-ray if you have any doubts. Now that you know it is soft tissue, always use the R.I.C.E. methodology when possible. R-rest the injured area, I-ice the swollen area (15 minutes on and off until juried area is warm again), C-compress the area to help keep the swelling down (use an ace bandage or some sort of a compression brace for that area, E-elevate the joint when possible. This will keep the swelling down and help the healing process. Take Proteolytic Plus, 3 capsules 3 times a day on an empty stomach until swelling is completely gone. When you are able to start putting pressure on the joint begin doing light massage and work into the tissue around the joint over the next few days.
